Minimum Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering and project management in the construction industry

Job Summary

The Project Engineer – Mechanical will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in project management, mechanical design, and construction.

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems for construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems

• Review mechanical engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements

• Coordinate with other members of the project team, including architects, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure the timely completion of mechanical installations and repairs

• Provide technical guidance to construction personnel regarding the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment

• Monitor and control project costs related to mechanical systems and equipment

• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations related to mechanical systems and equipment

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project schedules, budgets, and progress reports

• Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget

• Oversee and manage project team members, including mechanical designers and other engineers

• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to project stakeholders

Required Skills & Training Courses

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems

• Experience with construction project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and documentation

• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to mechanical systems and equipment

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work conditions

• Ability to travel to construction sites as required
