Minimum Qualification & Experience
- B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- Professional Certification in Aviation.
- Min 10 years of experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation planning and airport design
- GCC experience preferred
Job Summary
working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Engineering Department, as an Aviation Engineer you’ll be required to combine your technical experience and knowledge for the success of Project
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop & and review design concepts for airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, terminals, and support facilities.
- Ensure all projects meet international and national aviation safety standards.
- Stay updated with the latest regulations and standards in the aviation industry and incorporate them into project designs and plans.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments of existing and newly constructed infrastructure.
- Review Changes in the airport layouts and ensure compliance with international aviation standards
- Updating the operating manuals for the airport in accordance with the requirements of Engineering aspects, and international standards of the Civil Aviation Organization and the General Authority of Civil Aviation.
- Managing the prepared movement studies using simulation programs necessary for work and evaluating them inside the Terminals, Airside, on roads, and in other service buildings according to the needs, current and future operational and expansion plans,
- Assess Passenger forecast and air traffic movements and advise the client on optimal ways to respond to seasonal and peak demand.
- Provide the capacity studies as per plan and actual numbers based on the current terminal condition and all other facilities and items, and assist the client in planning for future projects referring all to the international standards such as ICAO, IATA …etc.
- Utilize expertise in airport design principles and best practices to ensure the project is delivered to the highest standard.
- Conduct research and analysis to develop comprehensive aviation plans and feasibility studies.
Required Skills & Training Courses
- In-depth knowledge of airport design and engineering, as well as relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines in the aviation sector like ICAO, FAA, UFC, CAAs, IATA, as well as other international and local regulatory standards
- Experience managing complex aviation projects, including leading teams and coordinating with clients and stakeholders
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in industry-standard software and tools, such as Aviplan, AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS
Work conditions
