2  years of experience in Projects

Job Summary

The safety officer will carry out inspections of workplaces and take appropriate action to ensure compliance. Responds to and investigate concerns and complaints from workers/employers and take appropriate action. Investigate accidents and injuries that occur in the workplace.

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assists in carrying out inspections of workplaces and takes necessary action to ensure compliance.
  2. Assists in responding to and investigating concerns/complaints from workers/employers and assists in taking appropriate action.
  3. Assists in investigating accidents or injuries that occur in the workplace.
  4. Assists in the establishment of workplace safety and health committees.
  5. Assists in the delivery of related educational programs and disseminates information to the public.
  6. Assists in carrying out industrial hygiene surveys.
  7. Assists in the preparation of various reports, documents, and forms.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Training Courses

  • Must have OSHA and NEBOSH Certificate
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective work relationships.
